London (dailynewyorknews) – Wikileaks founder Julian Assange fight against extradition to the Supreme Court in Britain on Wednesday, two days of hearings on whether it should be returned to Sweden to face charges rape and sexual assault.

In November, Assange – who is under house arrest – has lost a legal battle to stay in Britain. The following month, the British High Court said it would be cleared to a call.

Assange lawyers are committed to take the fight all the way to the European Court of Human Rights if necessary.

Although it has not been charged with a crime, a Swedish prosecutor wants to question him about the allegations.

Swedish authorities say the unidentified woman agreed to have sex with him if he wore a condom, and then had sex with her while she slept.

Assange denies irregularities and said the case is politically motivated.

The extradition case is not related to Assange work as founder and editor of Wikileaks, which has been on the wrong side of U.S. authorities.

His organization, which facilitates the anonymous leak of secret information, published nearly 250,000 U.S. confidential diplomatic cables, causing embarrassment for the government and others.

He has also published hundreds of thousands of classified U.S. documents related to the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

However, the organization has been under increasing financial pressure in recent months, announcing in October that Assange Wikileaks has been temporarily suspended the publication of “aggressive fundraising” to stay afloat.
