A small plane crashed in Tijuana, killing the pilot, his daughterand a victim on the ground.

Three people were killed Monday when a small plane crashed near the airport in the city of Tijuana near the international border to San Diego, officials said.

The plane crashed after takeoff and crashed into a garage near astreet market.

The authorities said the pilot called Francisco Serveno 62 years and 17 years old girl died on impact. A 40-year-old man namedAlberto Gonzalez, who had taken his car to repair, was alsokilled. Eight vehicles were set on fire.

The authorities are still investigating the crash site to determine what caused the accident.
