Sets standards for Afghanistan of the Taliban in the office of Qatar

Kabul, Afghanistan (dailynewyorknews) – Afghanistan accept the presence of a liaison office in Qatar Taliban, but according to strict rules prohibiting foreign intervention in the peace talks, the peace of the board Tuesday.

Qassemyar Ismail, a member of the peace in Afghanistan, the Board, warns against the United States and other nations are trying to make their own peace agreements with militants.

“We ask our international friends not to hold any kind of talks with Taliban leaders,” said Qassemyar. “It is a process of Afghanistan, and we want to be Afghan-led.”

The media recently reported that the U.S. and other foreign governments, with participation in the war in Afghanistan may try to reach a separate agreement with the Taliban.

The Washington Post reported last week that the Obama administration has reached an agreement in principle with the Taliban negotiators included the transfer of five U. S. Afghan Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and the public release of the Taliban of international terrorism.

The agreement collapsed, said the Post, because of objections from Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

The Taliban reportedly wants to set up an office from which you can negotiate a peace agreement. However, the peace process slowed down after suicide bombers killed the chief negotiator for peace in Afghanistan and former President Rabbani Burhannudin in September.

Karzai told CNN this month that the government can not hold talks until the Islamic militia identified by a representative of the authority to negotiate.

Karzai said the death of Rabbani has shown that “we talk to anyone.”

“A man who came on behalf of a messenger of peace turned out to be a suicide bomber,” said Karzai. “So we made it clear that we welcome the address of the Taliban, but the direction must be clear that this representative is authorized representative of the Taliban movement as we see.”

In an October visit to Afghanistan, the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke of reconciliation efforts with the Afghan authorities. She said that the United States are working to obtain a peaceful Afghanistan.

“No people in the world, it deserves more,” he said.

The Afghan people are in line with the international community to support the opening of talks with the Taliban to find a way to end the war in a decade, according to Patricia Gossman, the Institute U. S. of Peace.

However, negotiations will not be easy, writes Gossman.

“Despite the talks, nobody in Washington or Kabul has clarified the meaning of reconciliation in practice, particularly in terms of accountability for the abuses that took place during the reign of the Taliban, as well as those that occurred when rival factions fought each other before the Taliban came to power, “he wrote.

Qassemyar said the Taliban office in Qatar in any way legitimize the Islamist group.

“We accept the leadership of the Taliban in Qatar if they do not come as a movement or group, not a government or use it as propaganda,” he said.
