Wilson Kipsang won the race in 2 hours, 3 minutes and 42 seconds.

Wilson Kipsang of Kenya ran the second fastest marathon, the race in Frankfurt on Sunday to win only four seconds before theworld record.

Kipsang won the Frankfurt Marathon for the second consecutive year in 2 hours, 3 minutes and 42 seconds, narrowly missing theworld record in the mild climate.

Patrick Makau of Kenya won the Berlin marathon a month ago in2:03:38.

Kipsang moved shortly after the 35 km mark behind a group ofKenyans who was the world record since the start of the race from.

Kenyans took 10 of the 11 best places for 14 men ran under2:10.

Levy Matebo second third with 2:05:16 2:05:25 Matebor Albert.Kipsang instead of the previous course record last year in2:04:57.

The only non-Kenyans among the best players Siraj Gena of Ethiopia was in eighth position.
